Privacy is of great concern to most users of the Internet, and is a critical part of an enjoyable and satisfactory user experience. We at Jungle Source are acutely aware of and sensitive to the privacy concerns of our subscribers and other visitors to our Site. Whether you are a customer of our products and services or a visitor to our Site, we assure you that we do not collect personal information from you unless you provide it to us.  If you are registering to obtain information about our services, you may be asked to provide certain personal contact information. Information Collection

When you browse Jungle Source’s publicly accessible Site, you do so anonymously. Jungle Source collects personally identifiable information from you only if you choose to provide this information to us. In some instances, Jungle Source may collect non-personal (i.e., aggregate or demographic) data through cookies. This information is used to better understand and improve the usability, performance, and effectiveness of the Jungle Source Site, as further described below under “Cookies and Tracking Technology.”

Access to certain Jungle Source web pages and online services by Jungle Source’s customers and their employees and job applicants is not available to the general public and requires a login code and password provided by Jungle Source. The use of those web pages, and the information downloadable to and from those pages, are governed by a written agreement between Jungle Source and its clients. On these web pages, Jungle Source collects only information that the user voluntarily shares with Jungle Source.

If you are using this Site to open an employment screening account with Jungle Source, we collect the information requested on our account application form, including contact information and financial information (such as credit card number or billing information). This information is used for internal purposes, such as account establishment, billing, fulfillment of orders, and customer service.

How We Use Your Personal Information

When your personal information is collected on Jungle Source’s publicly accessible Site, Jungle Source will inform you at the point of collection of the purpose for the collection. Jungle Source will use your personal information only in the way we specify when it is collected unless you consent to a different use. For example, Jungle Source may use personal information submitted in an account application to set up and maintain your account. Jungle Source also may use the personal information you provide to answer your questions and inquiries, to support Jungle Source’s own recruitment activities in response to your inquiries into Jungle Source’s job postings, and to provide newsletters and other information (if any) that you have requested. If you have provided your personal information through this Site in connection with background screening ordered by Jungle Source’s customer—your employer or prospective employer—Jungle Source may use your personal information to perform your background check for that customer. Jungle Source will not use your information to conduct a background screening investigation and create a report unless Jungle Source’s client completes a certification required by the FCRA and any other applicable law. In this certification, Jungle Source’s customer certifies to Jungle Source that it has a legally permissible purpose for ordering the background check or background screening services, and that it has, to the extent required by applicable law, obtained your informed consent to conduct the background screening.

Personal Information Disclosure: United States or Overseas

Jungle Source will not disclose your personal information to a third party, except in accordance with applicable laws.

Typically, Jungle Source will only disclose personal information regarding the subject of a background check to a third in the following situations:

  • To an employer or prospective employer who has been authorized by the consumer to receive information about him or her.

  • To a third-party representative or subcontractor authorized by Jungle Source to assist in the background screening investigation (e.g., providers that host or support this website or otherwise provide technical assistance, as well as court researchers, and other service vendors).

  • As otherwise required by law.

Where Jungle Source transfers personal information to a representative or third-party subcontractor assisting with a background check, Jungle Source provides only the information required to assist with the background check. Jungle Source prohibits such third-party representatives and subcontractors from using consumer information for any purpose other than assisting Jungle Source with the background check. Jungle Source also contractually requires such third-parties and subcontractors to maintain commercially reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of consumer information they receive.

Generally, Jungle Source does not transfer information to third-parties outside of the United States or its territories. Such transfers would only be done if necessary to complete an international background check (e.g., conducting an international criminal check or verifying educational or employment records outside of the U.S.).

Cookies and Tracking Technology

Jungle Source only collects standard web log information about visits to the website. This includes date/time of access, originating IP address, browser type, operating system of client PC.  The log information does not include information directly identifying an individual, email address, or user.  The website does collect information via forms that a user chooses to submit; this may include personal information (e.g. name, address, email, etc.).

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes.  We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

We do not use session ID cookies (expires when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time and may enable us to track and target the interests of our Users to enhance the experience on our site).  You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file.
